A Faster Employee Schedule and Easier Shift Navigation

We’ve kept tuning ShiftApp’s employee scheduling, as usual. The latest work reduces the queries and data used by personal schedules and calendar subscriptions, so there’s less to load.

You can now move through the shifts on Home week by week, jump to a specific date or head back to today. We’ve also made the mobile schedule easier to navigate by week and date.

A few fixes should make scheduling more dependable: week changes now handle calendar boundaries correctly, calendar feeds account for time zones, and repeating shifts no longer send duplicate notifications.

We’ve also clarified schedule visibility. Show Draft Shifts applies to shifts, while an employee’s own pending time-off request can still appear when requests are enabled. Coworkers’ pending requests remain private, and sick leave has its own visibility setting.

If you run into an issue or have a question about these updates, get in touch and we’ll help you out.
